Meet Our Board
Alhena Islam
President
Alhena is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Biology with a concentration in Molecular Biology. She joined FIMRC because she wants to help make healthcare and education more readily accessible to families and children around the world, especially in underserved communities, and FIMRC would allow her to make a direct impact on that mission. For fun, she enjoys bullet journaling, collecting stationery, and watching Korean dramas!
Bridget Loja
Vice President
Bridget is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Neuroscience. She joined FIMRC because she wants to contribute to providing healthcare to parts of the world that do not have the right access. She became aware of such global health issues from family members living in Ecuador, which is where one of the FIMRC sites is located. For fun, she enjoys spending time with her extended family and trying food and ice cream places!
Michelle Park
Marketing Chair
Michelle is a sophomore at Penn interested in the intersection of healthcare, business management, marketing, and health policy. She joined FIMRC to expand knowledge about equitable healthcare access and education for all individuals. For fun, she loves building lego sets, listening to music, and finding must-try restaurants in Philly with her friends!
Rohana Sree Gullapalli
Awareness Chair
Rohana is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in neuroscience and finance. She joined FIMRC because she wanted to be a part of a group of people who enjoyed giving back to the community. For fun, she likes to spend time with her friends!
Vasu Gupta
Volunteering Chair
Vasu is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Biochemistry. He joined FIMRC because he wanted to volunteer in our local community and raise funds for our projects abroad. For fun, he likes to play tennis and explore Philadelphia with friends!
